TAS Shield Transparent Armour System (TAS).
SEAL Solutions has developed a transparent armour shield for fitment to the hatch of light armoured vehicles that offers :

  • Increased situational awareness in urban terrain while providing protection levels equivalent to a light armoured vehicles structural armour
  • Protection against bullets, IED fragments and blast, molotov cocktails and rocks
  • Simple bolt on fitment
  • Hatch can be opened and closed without exposure
  • Automatic locking in open and closed positions
  • High transmittance glass used making TAS suitable for operation with night vision goggles and binoculars
  • Suitable for a range of vehicles, such as: LAV II (ASLAV), M1A1, LAV III, Stryker, Warrior and Bradley
  • Suitable for various locations on the vehicle including drivers and commanders positions
  • Designed for operation with SEAL Solutions Remote Weapon Station Integration Kit (RWSIK) and Kongsberg Remote Weapon Station.

Removable Armour for Vehicles.
Under the Defence Science and Technology Organisation’s Capability Technology Demonstrator Program Seal Solutions has developed a Removable Armour System for Land Vehicles which offers:

  • No modification to the base vehicle such as welding
  • Protection against a variety of threats
  • Designed to include protection from fragmentation threats such as IEDs
  • Low mass penalty for increase in protection level
  • Several protection level options
  • Designed for use on light armoured, steel hulled vehicles.
  • Includes the flexibility to combine composite materials with the system to meet a range of threats

Spall Liners.
SEAL Solutions have partnered with Combat Clothing Australia to develop an advanced Spall Liner design to mitigate against the spall effects created by shaped charges. Detailed testing has been completed to validate the maximum performance levels of the spall liner. This product is applicable to all Light Armoured Vehicles and features: Image of spall liner testing

  • 16 kg per square meter at 20 mm thickness
  • An 85% reduction in area affected by spall
  • Significant reduction in perforations
  • No use of polyethelene
