Engineering
The Engineering capability of SEAL Solutions is adaptable to many sectors focusing on Design, Development and Manufacture predominantly related to mechanical systems and systems integration. SEAL Solutions excels in providing innovative design solutions to complex problems and has in-house prototyping and manufacturing capabilities. Through utilising the latest Computer Aided Design packages and extensive modelling and simulation , we design and prototype solutions within our own facility located in Melbourne. Our capability extends from design engineering to low rate production and through life support. SEAL Solutions has a Design Support Network with experts in specialised design and manufacturing techniques that gives our Engineers the ability to rapidly design, develop and prototype solutions for customers. SEAL Solutions has the capability to deliver rapid modifications as well as complete vehicle design through the application of a robust, quality assured, engineering management framework. SEAL Solutions has extensive experience in vehicle modification for specialised operations and the upgrade and integration of equipment into vehicles. Bushmaster with RAV system

Materiel and Technology Solutions Assessment
SEAL Solutions staff can rapidly apply their knowledge to assess the feasibility of materials or technologies to meet customer requirements. This allows a customer to rapidly explore the design space to assess feasibility and costs prior to committing significant resources to a Project.

Requirements Development
SEAL Solutions staff include trained and experienced Systems Engineers who can work across the entire product life cycle. SEAL Solutions can conduct requirements elicitation workshops with customers to develop and solidify the requirements of a system prior to commencing a formal design task. SEAL Solutions staff apply analysis techniques ranging from soft systems approaches to more traditional requirements elicitation methods supported by computer tools such as Telelogic DOORS.

System Design and Development
System design and development is a core capability area for the Company. Design and development is conducted under the company’s quality assured engineering management system with regular customer feedback through formal design reviews. All designs are developed virtually using the latest Computer Aided Design packages supported by modelling and simulation to reduce design cycle times and to mitigate technical risk.

Test and Evaluation
SEAL Solutions engineering management system operates using a closed loop systems engineering methodology where products are thoroughly tested to ensure they meet customer requirements. SEAL Solutions staff have extensive test and evaluation management experience and can organise and conduct testing across a range of disciplines including performance, reliability, environmental, functional, survivability and compatibility testing.

Integrated Logistics Support and Support Systems
SEAL Solutions' focus on the entire product lifecycle extends to the Integrated Logistics Support products and Support Systems required for our products to be operated and maintained in service. This includes items such as user and maintainer handbooks, parts warehousing, training and technical support. We can tailor a system to suit customer's specific requirements. Image of ATLAS variant

Research and Development
SEAL Solutions maintains an internally funded Research and Development program aiming to provide new and novel ways of applying technology to meet unique and challenging customer requirements. Current company research and development programs include:
  • Spall Liner Project - Advanced composite design to mitigate against the effects of Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs) and Kinetic Energy threats.
  • Mine Blast Protection Project - The utilisation of advanced elastomers to defeat the peak incident and reflective pressures generated by threats up to the equivalent of 10 kg TNT anti-tank mines.
  • Amphibious Titanium Light Armour System (ATLAS) Project - A conceptual design for a family of armoured vehicles to meet the future armoured vehicle needs of the Australian Defence Force.
  • Military All Terrain Vehicle Project - This Project aims to deliver an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) capability to the Australian Defence Force.
